Sahara Rose is an ancient soul in a modern body. She has been called “a leading voice for the millennial generation into the new paradigm shift” by Deepak Chopra, who wrote the foreword of her books. She is the best-selling author of Eat Feel Fresh, Idiot's Guide to Ayurveda, A Yogic Path and the upcoming Discover Your Dharma. She also hosts the Highest Self Podcast, the #1 spirituality podcast on iTunes with over 16 million downloads.
Sahara is the founder of Rose Gold Goddesses, the sacred sisterhood collective all about embodying the goddess within, with over 2000 worldwide members.
She is a keynote speaker, speaking on stages at Google and Facebook, as well as being featured as the nutrition speaker for Michelle Obama's Let's Move Campaign at Harvard Medical School and in Vogue, Forbes, NBC and more.
Recently on the cover of the nationwide print magazine, Yoga Journal, Sahara Rose is on a mission to remind people of their highest selves so they can share their gifts with the world and raise the vibration of the planet.
Sahara is known for making spiritual + Ayurvedic wisdom fun and relatable so it can serve the needs of today's people. She believes the key to spirituality is embodiment. When she's not writing books, recording podcasts or facilitating workshops, you can find her dancing, DJing and drumming.
“This is Ayurveda's next evolutionary step. Sahara Rose has successfully refreshed and revitalized the ancient knowledge without watering down its significance and depth. She blends reverence for the tradition with an awareness of present-day needs. Above all, her book affirms that health surpasses the physical, an idea that ultimately has metaphysical implications when we ponder our place in the universe."
-Deepak Chopra, Foreword of Sahara's Idiot's Guide to Ayurveda
Who am I?
Well really, I’m a soul having a human experience dressed in a funny costume but I understand people on this planet like to define themselves to understand one another so here I go.
In my human life, I’ve written the two best-selling books in Ayurveda; Eat Feel Fresh: A Contemporary Plant-Based Ayurvedic Cookbook and Idiot’s Guide to Ayurveda, both with foreword by Dr. Deepak Chopra, as well as my deck A Yogic Path.
My next book Discover Your Dharma will be out in Jan '21 with Chronicle.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be called “a leading voice in the millennial generation into the new paradigm shift” by Deepak Chopra.
I also host the Highest Self Podcast, which is ranked as the #1 spirituality podcast on iTunes with over 16 million downloads.
Guests include Marianne Williamson, Don Miguel Ruiz, Gabby Bernstein, Deepak Chopra, Gretchen Ruben, Seal, Danielle LaPorte and many other total badasses.
I also do weekly solocasts on topics such as discovering your dharma, Ayurveda, intuition, spiritual activism, spiritual bypass and so much more.
I speak around the world on discovering your dharma, Ayurveda and healing + embodiment through dance.
I was the featured nutrition speaker at Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move Campaign Event at Harvard Medical School.
I am a self-professed nerd and cum laude graduate of Boston University and Institute for Integrative Nutrition Class.
I’ve been featured in Vogue, Forbes, Yoga Journal, NBC News, Huffington Post, Girlboss, Refinery 29, Mind Body Green, Chalkboard Mag, Well + Good and a whole bunch of other places.
I am the founder of Rose Gold Goddesses, the sacred sisterhood collective supporting women to become their Highest Selves. We have monthly Goddess circles, biweekly expert calls, our very own app to connect, all my masterclasses, discuss and meet-up with other spiritual soul sisters, live events, entrepreneurial support and so much more. Essentially it is like a spiritual gym membership with everything you need on your spiritual journey.
My values are truth, fun, freedom, purpose, joy and creativity.
I feel like my highest self when I am creating, whether it’s a podcast, book, program, artwork or even Instagram caption.
I am here to redefine what it means to be a spiritual person.
I believe the spiritual journey should be fun.
I believe we take ourselves way too seriously.
I believe there is no such thing as perfection.
I believe we learn best through laughter.
I believe in a new paradigm where we all live in alignment with our dharmas (purposes.)
I believe I’m part of the soul crew brought back to this planet to bring heaven back to Earth.
I believe that we are the universe, therefore it is OUR role to create the world we want to live in.
I believe in talking about our shadows, because that's how we will create systemic change.
I believe that dance is one of our most powerful and underutilized forms of healing.
I believe in healing our bodies holistically, with the connection of the mind, body and spirit.
I believe the reason why we are here is to raise consciousness.
I believe we each do so in different ways, according to our dharma (life purpose.)
I believe that we were each born with divine gifts we were meant to share with others, which is a reflection of our Doshas.
I believe that the best thing you can do for the planet is be a happy person.
I believe this life is a gift and when we treat it like one, everything shifts.
I believe that we are embodiments of the Goddess.
I believe the new paradigm calls for the rise of the divine feminine within all of us.
I believe that fun is our birthright.
I believe that we are transitioning into becoming more intuitive beings.
I believe that your vibe attracts your tribe.
I believe that authenticity always wins.
I’m a Vata-Pitta (channel ideas like a Vata, get shit done like a Pitta). My massive Vata imbalance is what got me involved in Ayurveda to begin with.
Read the story about why I got involved with Ayurveda here.
I’m a Projector in Human Design (always coming up with ideas, able to see the big picture.)
My favorite Goddess is Saraswati (Goddess of Creativity, Music, Dance, Arts and Knowledge.)
I’m a Sag Sun + Moon with Scorpio Rising in Vedic Astrology; Capricorn Sun + Moon with Sag Rising in Western Astrology.
I’m a High Priestess Archetype (always teaching + leading).
My Enneagram is a 7-3 (Enthusiast + Achiever!)
My dharma is to raise consciousness and be a bridge between ancient wisdom and the modern world.
I also have the world’s cutest dog (not just saying that) named Chubby who literally lights up my life. He is a reincarnated yogi and just SO high vibe. Check out this podcast episode about where I talk about how he is my guru (if I were to have one—it would be him.) If you follow my Insta stories, you’ll see his incredible wisdom/ yoga moves/ fluffy face.
Last year I got married to an awesome dude Steven. He owns a music management company hates being in front of the camera. I still make him do photoshoots with me everywhere we go then he secretly loves the photos/ stares at them all day. He’s the one dream podcast guest I still am working on
A lot of people ask me if I grew up with super healthy, spiritual parents and the answer is no. I grew up eating McDonalds with no spiritual upbringing stuffing myself with bread. I had such bad allergies and asthma, I couldn’t play outside. That’s why I got into all of this and let me tell ya.. it works!
The best place to connect with me is over on Highest Self Podcast, where I post two weekly episodes, a solocast where I riff on consciousness, Ayurveda, spirituality, intuition, entrepreneurship, activism or whatever else comes through.
Hit ya girl up on the gram and TikTok. I am all about making the spiritual journey FUN! @iamsahararose
I have a feeling we are gonna be good friends (and eat lots of pineapple together).
