Namaste, dear friend. It is Sahara Rose, and I am so excited to share with you all about my 31-day Mind Body Transformation Challenge. So I thought of this challenge when my guruji—which means “teacher” in Sanskrit—Deepak Chopra posted that he is committing to transform his body in six months. Which I think is amazing because, you know, it’s hard when you’re traveling, and writing, and doing all of these things to take care of your body. So I love how he said to everyone that he’s committed to making a change.

 

So that day I was going to see him, and I thought of the idea, well what if we did a challenge, a 31-day challenge that everyone can follow along with? And he loved the idea. So I wrote out a 31-day plan that he approved of, and we will be hosting it together on his platform Jiyo.com. And I am so, so, so excited to have you guys come along with us on this journey.

 

How it’s going to work is every single day I’m going to be presenting you with one little quick tip or habit that you can implement into your lifestyle. It’s not going to be anything drastic, but it’s slowly going to build upon each and each task as the weeks go on. So in 31 days you’re going to notice that you fully transformed your relationship with food, and mindfulness just with these little, little tips and habits that you’re implementing into your daily practice.

 

So this isn’t something that you’re going to lose tons of weight with, or you know, like cure cancer. It’s just 31 days, so we have to be realistic that it’s just to kick off your transformation. But sometimes it takes the support of a community to keep you kind of committed to it. Because a lot of times we say that we’re going to do something, and then we don’t. And that’s why, you know, diets never end up working out. So with this, it is implemental, it is gradual, it is something that you can slowly, slowly integrate into your lifestyle so it’s not something that comes in and out, but stays for the long run.

 

What are the things that we’re going to change? Well, we’re going to start very simple, things that you may already be practicing.

  • Like drinking hot water

  • Taking walks in nature

  • Practicing mindful eating

A lot of these things that I mention you may already know about, but not actually be practicing. So we all know how important it is, for example, to take a walk outside in nature every day, but how many of us actually do it.

 

Or we may know how important it is to meditate, or to drink hot water, or not to eat packaged foods. But a lot of times we slip, and we do these things anyways, even though we know that they’re not right for us. So being part of this challenge sort of holds you accountable, and it shows that you’re not in this by yourself, we’re all in this together.

 

So it’s just challenging yourself to be the best version of who you are. And in 31 days, by adding one little new thing day by day into your lifestyle, you’re going to notice that after a month, these things are going to become just natural to you. It’s not even going to be something that you’re making an effort for anymore.

 

I am so excited to share these things with you. I recorded the 31 videos, and I will be posting them every single day on my Instagram. And Jiyo will be posting them on the Jiyo Instagram, as well as Jiyo.com. So let me tell you a little bit about Jiyo.com. It’s an app and a social network, so you can use it both on your phone or online. You can log in, create an account, and that’s how we’re going to hold each other accountable. So you can:

  • share what you’re eating everyday

  • what your workouts are

  • little inspirational quotes that you came across.

It’s basically a social network all about consciousness.

 

A lot of people like you and I, we may be using Instagram or Facebook to promote this mindfulness, and consciousness, and things like that. But Jiyo is actually made for this purpose. So Jiyo’s split up into different categories like movement, meditation, nourishment, et cetera. All the things that we talk about they have specific sections for.

 

So every single day I want you to share how you are following along with that challenge:

  • post a picture of you recipe

  • share what you did to move your body

  • maybe take a little video of your yoga asana practice, whatever it is

Even if it’s not related to your challenge, anything that you find is transformational to you. Because that’s really what this challenge is all about. It’s just transforming your relationship with health, with nourishment, with mindfulness. And taking this mind-body approach where it’s not about having a six-pack, or a perfect body, or certain macronutrients, but it’s to become your highest self, which you already know I’m all about.

 

So we’re going to use Jiyo to support each other, to share what’s going on. And we’re also going to be offering giveaways. So if you practice and post every single day, you’re going to—there’s different giveaways that we have, but a free copy of my book, “The Idiot’s Guide to Ayurveda,” which Deepak Chopra wrote the foreword and cover quote to. We’ll also have different packages of the different things available in the Jiyo Marketplace for people who really go above and beyond that they’re posting every day, sharing on social media, et cetera. So lots of cool giveaways just for, you know, getting involved.

 

And so what better way of like motivating you to actually practice these things and to know you might get free books, or home gardening kits, or supplements, or whatever else. So I’m really excited just to be a part of this. It ended up being so serendipitous because I just thought of the 31-day challenge to kick off Deepak’s six-month transformation. But it ended up working perfectly because my book comes out on August eighth. So we’re going to be starting the challenge on July eighth.

 

So in 31 days my book comes out, and then you have a 352-page book on how to continue these practices. And the book gets so much deeper into the doshas, and the koshas, the different layers of disease, and the dhatus, and all of these Sanskrit terminology that you’re probably like, “What are you even saying right now?” But it will all make sense once you read the book.

 

So this challenge is the perfect way to get yourself ready for the things that the book is really going to dive into. And you might win a free copy of it if you post every single day. So yeah, I cannot wait to get this started with you. We will have the hashtag running, #31daytransformation, and that’s how we can see what each other are posting on social media. And then we’ll also have the Jiyo app, which will be like exclusively ours. And every single day the video will also hosted on the Jiyo app, as well as on my personal Instagram.

 

Deepak, a few times a week is going to put his little insights and videos. He’s going to be doing all of the daily challenges along with us. So that’s going to be really exciting. I can’t wait to see how he transforms too this month, especially because he’s on the road. So it’s going to be a blast, and I want you to join us.
