Episode 183 – Why Should Us Women Hide Our Bodies? with Sahara Rose

By Sahara Rose

Namaste. It’s Sahara Rose, and welcome back to the “Highest Self” podcast. A place where we discuss what makes you your soul’s highest evolvement. Why should us women hide our bodies that gave you life? Why should the breasts that nursed you be wrapped under shawls and apologies for being too much, for existing? Why should we suppress the sensuality that lingers in our veins? Afraid of fully being experienced, afraid of being caught. Why should our yonis be ignored? The portal that brought you here, once sacred, now taboo, once worshiped, now abused. Why should we disconnect from our fertile bodies, spray pesticide on our gardens, so you’ll take us seriously? So you’ll think we are enough.

My spiritual practice is not for me to leave the body, but for me to go further into it, feel my vast mountains, wet rivers, turbulent oceans, fertile soil. I didn’t come here to disconnect, I came here to reconnect, and the deeper I enter my body, the deeper I enter my soul.

I hope you enjoyed these words. Head over to my Instagram @Iamsahararose if you loved this poetry and you would love to read more of it. Namaste.
